No. 37 / 2000

I would say "Happy Well Underway Spring" with this post of Scarlet Street #37, but in the Midwest area, I believe it's been the coldest Spring I can remember.  I almost feel like saying that it's "Spring - Take 2"!  Indeed, we may be forced to think about air conditioning by the time May hits, so up-and-down climate-change-weather takes us.

One thing somewhat related to climate change, regarding the footprint left by the meat industry alone, we did actually manage to get by this past Easter meatless.  I am extremely excited about this and am now planning another special meatless dish for Mother's Day.  In-between that it's...well, meatless!  We may not be bonafide vegetarians as of yet, but we've definitely crossed a line and from now on I'll do my best to at least 'act' like a vegetarian.  I might not fail at this either.

Scarlet Street #37 was another happy challenge for me in finding related photos to add to this post.  (I hope I didn't add too many!)  There are so many interesting articles.  I was recently reminded of how unique and well written Scarlet Street was, in particular while exploring an attempted new incarnation of another famous fantasy publication.  How pleased I am to be able to, in some small way, keep it alive here down on the Street.

Once more please enjoy this labor of love, and we'll see ya' next month when we'll hopefully be well underway into Summer!
